HI Welcome to Advertising Know-How

Well it finally happened, a catastrophic event the entire server switched off and 5 years work put in jeopardy all because I was to stupid to back up the databases for Advertising Know-How.

Its resolved now, but not before the fear of god was rammed into me. Lesson for today "BACKUP YOUR MYSQL DATABASES" not just your html files.
OK enough bad vibes for today, I want to follow up on last months newsletter about doorway pages. I have created 3 test sites using the APG software and will be monitoring there progress through google and the returns from both adsense and the products being promoted through them

a second aimed at a hosting affiliate site http://www.10buckhost.com look for the index links at the bottom of the page and look at the list of pages created by APG. All of them highly targeted to a single keyword.

Third site is completely different its aimed at a recipe book I picked at random from clickbanks product database. recipes-galore.com again click on the sitemap link to see the list of pages created.

Over the coming months I am going to monitor and report the progress of each site and the revenues they make, should be an interesting experiment.

You don't need to create new domains for each campaign though, you could just add a new folder to your existing site wwwyordomain.com/recipes and link to it from your site map so search engines can find it.

Very important for the search engine to find from a link rather than you submitting it, google for instance gives greater weight to sites it spidered than those that submitted. page rank also helps, if the page you linked to it has a PR of 4 or more the results will be quicker.

Any way you can tell I think this is a good idea, if you didn't take a look at this from last months newsletter maybe you should go take a look now this works, doesn't take to much effort or time and once the initial work is done it carries on working for ever with out to much tweaking.

Ok I am off to back up the database on my server again, I have backups on other peoples servers and I plan on keeping one under the bed :)
